Custom maintains over 180 qualified welding procedures, qualified in accordance with ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, AWS D1.6 and other various Codes of Construction.
Our manufacturing facility is specially designed to produce mid to large scale metal fabrications, accommodating weldments up to and over 60’ long and weighing up to 160,000 lbs. With the combination of ingenious precision fit-up fixtures, multiple burn tables, robotic welding capabilities, ASME and AWS certified welders, Custom meets the highest quality standards for large fabricated components and is able to hold tight tolerances.

Custom offers full service material processing and sourcing, eliminating the need to supply your own materials or order custom sizes. Our multiple burn tables allow for efficient sizing of raw materials for production and cut plates to meet exact computer controlled dimensions, reducing fit-up gaps on large fabricated components.
Precision Fit-Up Fabrications
Custom Engineering has developed a specialized flooring system that allows accurate fit-up of large, heavy steel plate parts and provides a square, level work surface to hold close tolerances. Custom accommodates weldments up to and over 60’ long and weighing up to 160,000 lbs.
Robotic Welding Capabilities
Custom Engineering is the premier choice for complex fabrications and welding components. For large production runs and production of critical application parts required to be free of any defects and demanding the utmost accuracy, we rely on our robotic welding capabilities. The Motoman EA1900TN overhead mounted robotic welding cell is configured with three stations, offering stations one and two for light to medium weight weldments with 6,000 lb. headstock and tailstock combination, and station three equipped with interchangeable fixtures to accommodate a wide range of custom product requirements. The robotic welding cell increases production speed, delivers maximum efficiency, and improves reproducibility of standard pieces.

Custom offers a variety of metal finishing services to provide high-quality finished parts, including grinding, blasting, coating, and painting. Custom is committed to the environment and uses EPA approved products that, when properly mixed, only release emissions into the environment that are within legal limits.
